The “Complexo Brasil” exhibition, backed by VIC Properties as a patron, is one of the most ambitious showcases ever organized in Portugal dedicated to Brazilian culture.
Presented by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the exhibition brings together artworks, videos, musical pieces, and documents from institutions such as the Pinacoteca de São Paulo, the Instituto Moreira Salles, the Le Corbusier Foundation, the Instituto Bardi, the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, and the National Museum of Denmark.
Curated by José Miguel Wisnik, Milena Britto, and Guilherme Wisnik, with scenography by Daniela Thomas, “Complexo Brasil” invites visitors on a journey through Brazilian culture and history, exploring its long-standing connections with Portugal.
More than an exhibition, it is a sensory and critical exploration that challenges stereotypes and proposes new perspectives on understanding between the two countries.
The exhibition occupies the two main galleries of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation headquarters building and is accompanied by a program of parallel activities and a publication that broadens the curatorial research.
The “Complexo Brasil” exhibition can be visited between November 14, 2025, and February 17, 2026, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon.
