Seven new spaces reinforce the commercial offer in the venture designed by Renzo Piano. Beauty, Furniture, Art, Restaurants, Design and Architecture are some of the new services available to the community of Marvila

Prata Riverside Village, the only project in Portugal by the Italian architect – and Pritzker Prize winner – Renzo Piano, continues to enrich its commercial offer, and is now home to seven new spaces that will serve both Prata’s inhabitants and Marvila’s residents, workers, and visitors. The beauty boutique Info Beauty, the furniture shop Eliteline, the art studio of Luís Pintão and the multinational GROHE are some of the novelties that are already open.

In the case of GROHE, the German brand chose the VIC Properties development as the home to its first showroom in Portugal. The world leader in complete bathroom solutions and kitchen accessories, opened today the Lisbon Experience Center, which has 400m2 and six distinct environments. Betting on virtual reality, it provides visitors the opportunity to interact with the extensive brand portfolio and experience, in a unique and interactive way, the “Pure Freude an Wasser” (Pure Water Pleasure) with sustainability, design and GROHE premium technology highlighted. The space also has a training centre, through which it will provide technical support to installers and distributors, namely about new products.

Soon it will be the turn of the Restaurant Rio de Prata, Carla Zuzarte’s interior design and architecture shop and the Riverside Laundry to join the commercial offer of Prata Riverside Village, which already has Delta The Coffee House Experience, the Rise Bike Shop, and the Mercearia Prata, not forgetting the artistic workshops that VIC Properties, as a result of the protocol with Plataforma P’la Arte, granted free of charge to artists who, faced with the extreme situation caused by the pandemic, were left without a place to work.

With the opening of these new spaces, VIC Properties reinforces its bet on the diversification of the commercial offer present in Prata Riverside Village. Improving the quality of life of our residents and visitors of Marvila, offering a set of diversified services, is more than an objective. It is a mission”.

Moreover, VIC Properties “is currently negotiating the entrance of more companies in Prata Riverside Village, namely new restaurant spaces and shops from other activity areas.”

With approximately 20 thousand square meters of commercial area available at Prata Riverside Village (located at level 0 of all plots), since the beginning of this project, VIC Properties has assumed that its intention is not to build mere concrete developments, but rather to design and develop residential areas from scratch, creating high quality products, integrated into living communities, served by commerce, services, cultural facilities and green areas. In this way, VIC Properties reiterates its availability to receive in Prata Riverside Village historic businesses from Marvila, as well as more recent projects that will help revitalize this Lisbon parish.

Prata Riverside Village is already an authentic “riverside village”, being equipped with commercial and service spaces, cycle paths and and children’s playgrounds capable of serving not only the resident community, but also of attracting, by itself, visitors from other Lisbon neighbourhoods. All this, crowned by the Parque Ribeirinho Oriente and by an unparalleled connection to the Tagus River.
